Pfizer Turkey Inflammation & Immunology Business Unit Lead
Hala Qanadilo is the Turkey Inflammation & Immunology Business Unit Lead, managing a portfolio of flagship medicines that address the needs of patients with autoimmune and chronic inflammatory diseases. In this role, Hala is responsible for the management of the operations of the I&I Turkey business unit including P&L and sales and marketing activities.
Prior to this role, Hala was the Chief of Staff for three years, initially for the Established Health (PEH) Business in Europe, Africa/Middle East, and Global Biosimilars and then for the Inflammation & Immunology International Developed business. In these roles, Hala played a key part in organization redesign initiatives, operational planning and execution, and all aspects of running these complex global organizations.
In 2016, Hala was nominated by PEH LT to orchestrate the Allergan/Pfizer integration planning activities. She led 50+ team members across the commercial and R&D organizations to identify deal synergies globally. The transformation efforts focused on optimizing spend on the Field Force, Marketing and Platform Functions as well as revenue / cost structures across regions.
Hala joined Pfizer in 2014 as the Strategy Lead for the Pfizer Established Products Business (GEP) in Latin America, and subsequently became Strategy Lead in Asia. She has worked across 30+ countries in Europe and Emerging Markets to lead key strategic initiatives focused on transformation of commercial go to market models, country growth, portfolio optimization, localizing manufacturing and business development.
Before Pfizer, Hala spent 13 years consulting with Capgemini’s life sciences strategy and transformation practice. During this time, she led strategy and operations initiatives for eight of the top ten pharmaceutical companies. Hala holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering and Minor in Biomedical Engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology. She is originally from Amman, Jordan, and enjoys travelling, snowboarding and kitesurfing.
